(ORLANDO, Fla.) August 3 - Just a handful of days remain until the 2nd annual AAU Baseball International World Championships, which will be held from August 9th-14th in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This year’s event, which has nearly doubled in size from the inaugural event last year, will be held at the Plantation Sunset Park, and features teams from a number of different countries and the United States across both the 12u and 14u age divisions. Among the countries scheduled to compete this year include the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Prior to the start of gameplay, teams and their families will have the opportunity to make the short bus ride down to Miami where they will enjoy a Miami Marlins vs. San Francisco Giants game, and even have the opportunity to step foot on the field pre-game as part of the tournament’s Opening Ceremonies. Come Wednesday, the competition will commence as the teams battle it out for the title of AAU Baseball International Champions. AAU Baseball is also pleased to announce that admission to this fantastic event will be complimentary to all spectators. It is truly a unique opportunity to see some of the best youth baseball talent from around the world on display, and we hope to have a large turnout to come cheer them on!
