Lee Pamulak Middle School National Duals are a wrap for 2014. The tournament was held on April 12th and 13th in HyVee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa. The event hosted 34 teams and 2 All-Star teams that consisted of alternates from other teams. On Saturday the duals started with six pools of six teams (745 wrestlers) who wrestled a round robin style tournament to decide what brackets the teams would advance to on Sunday.
Six Pool Champions:
Ohio Grapplers Scarlet
Iowa Black
Indiana Inferno
Iowa Gold
Kansas Superman
Colorado Red
The six pool champions and the teams with the two next highest scores advanced to the Gold Bracket. The remaining brackets were decided by the points scored in the pool matches.

National Champions - Ohio Scarlet
National Runner-ups - Iowa Black
3rd Place - Indiana Inferno
4th Place - Colorado Red
5th Place - Kansas Superman
6th Place - Iowa Gold
7th Place - Lake Catholic Green (Ohio)
8th Place - Kansas Captain America
Other Bracket Winners:
Silver Bracket - Montana Grizzlies
Bronze Bracket - Kansas Hulk
Copper Bracket - Kansas Spiderman
Platinum Bracket - South Dakota Red
The Middle School Duals also hosted a 6th grade division for the first time this year! The 6th grade division featured 87 wrestlers from five teams and they wrestled a round robin tournament for the championship title.
6th Grade Division Results:
National Champions - Iowa Black
National Runner-ups - Iowa Gold
3rd - Tennessee Blue
4th - South Dakota White
5th - Huskerland Black (Nebraska)
It was an outstanding tournament for all! The talent, competition and facilities were unmatched in the 14 years that Iowa has hosted the Lee Pamulak Middle School Duals. Congratulations to all of our newly crowned National Champions!
