AAU Primary National Championships- WRAP UP

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL—Time to wrap up one AAU Track and Field event and onto the next! We have concluded the AAU Track and Field Primary National Championships for another year . This weekend hundreds of young track and field athletes infiltrated the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, FL with their eye on the prize- a gold medal, broken records, and a qualifying spot in the 2013 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Detroit, Michigan later this month. This meet was jam packed with exciting moments out on the field in events like javelin, shot put, and long jump, and also an amazing display of athleticism in all of the running events.

We even had some of these little ones shatter some of the National records over the two day event! Records can be found below.

While the races may be over for the youngsters, the older track and field participants are about to heat up.  Tomorrow begins the AAU Club National Championships!

Get ready for another thrilling week of AAU Track and Field. The Club National Championship finals will be broadcasted LIVE on ESPN3 Sunday, July 14th from 8:30AM EST to 2:30PM EST
