ATHLETICS: UPCOMING DISTRICT QUALIFIERS FOR AAU JUNIOR OLYMPIC GAMES
It is a busy week for track and field with 20 district qualifiers occurring between the dates of June 10th-14th alone! Track and field participants are gearing up for the AAU Junior Olympic Games from July 27th - August 2nd in Des Moines, IA at Drake University. All athletes must place in the top 16 at the District Qualifier in order to qualify for their Regional Qualifier. To qualify for the AAU Junior Olympic Games at the Regional Qualifier, participants must finish in the top eight in running events, top five in field events, and top four in multi-events/relays. At the Region 14 Qualifier, the home region for the 2014 AAU Junior Olympic Games, athletes finishing in the top 8 in every event qualify.

AAU FOOTBALL PRE-SEASON NATIONALS
The 2nd Annual Reggie Swinton AAU Pre-Season National Kick-Off is from August 15th - 17th in Little Rock, Arkansas, hosted by former NFL receiver, Reggie Swinton! Competition will be at Central High School and Arkansas Baptist High School with four all-tackle age divisions: 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, and 14 & Under. AAU INLINE HOCKEY ADULT USA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Venture to Vegas to participate in the AAU Inline Hockey Adult USA Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada from July 11th - 13th! Competitions will be held at 3 facilities: Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Roller Skating Center, and Southern Nevada Sports Centre. The championship will consist of 7 adult divisions; Men's Pro Elite, Men's Gold, Men's Silver, Men's Bronze, Men's Masters (35 & over), Women's Gold, and Women's Silver Divisions, with each team guaranteed four games. This is the LAST week to register for the 2014 AAU Western Grand Nationals! The championship will be from June 12th-14th at the Montana State University's Alterowitz Gym in Billings, MT. FORMER SULLIVAN NOMINEE HELPS US NATIONAL TEAM TO VICTORY
Kelsey Robinson, one of the 84th Annual Sullivan Award nominees, has been making a name for herself with the U.S. Women's National Volleyball team. Robinson, along with two other players, made their international senior level debuts for Team USA on Tuesday in Montreux, Switzerland. On Tuesday, the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team opened the prestigious Montreux Volley Masters event by defeating Germany 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-21. Robinson
On Tuesday, the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team opened the prestigious Montreux Volley Masters event by defeating Germany 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-21. Robinson started the game as an outside hitter and totaled 15 points with 12 kills and three blocks. The following day, the U.S. Women's team, which is ranked second in the world, defeated Japan 3-0, 25-17-25-22, 25-20. The U.S. Women's team wrapped up their round-robin pool play on Friday against their NORCECA rival, the Dominican Republic, at noon PT. The U.S. grabbed the win with a 75-48 total score over three sets. Robinson had six kills, with four blocks and 3 serves for a total of 13 points scored. The U.S. team defeated Russia 3 sets to 1 in the semifinal match on Saturday, but fell to the German volleyball team on Sunday in the finals. The U.S. Women's National Volleyball team placed second in the entire tournament. Kelsey Robinson contributed 14 total points in the semifinals and 16 points in the finals. Hosted by Reed High School in Reno, NV June 26-29, the AAU Track & Field West Coast Junior Olympic Games is open to all AAU youth participants in the United States. The top EIGHT finishers and relay teams from each event will then qualify for the 2014 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, IA.* Sign up and reserve your spot today! 2014 HIGH SCHOOL SAND ALL-AMERICA TEAMS

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 13, 2014) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association is excited to announce the inaugural AVCA High School Sand All-America Team. The team is comprised of four of the elite high school sand volleyball players from across the country. Three of the AVCA All-Americans come from the Golden Coast of California and one from the Sunshine State of Florida. Additionally, one AVCA Honorable Mention All-American is from the state of Texas. The awards committee is comprised of Cindy Phillips (Florida/East Coast), Steve Bishop (Florida), Scott Stover (Texas/Central), Jeff Smith (California/West Coast) and Gino Grajeda (California/West Coast). ATTENTION WISCONSIN ATHLETICS MEMBERS! Great news for the Wisconsin District - the District Qualifier is back on! In this district qualifier, the top 16 finishers in each event will move on to the Region 14 Qualifier. Region 14 is the home region for the 2014 AAU Junior Olympic Games, so it will allow the top 8 finishers in all events to move on to Des Moines, IA for the AA Junior Olympic Games. The Region 14 Qualifier will take place June 26 - 28 in Brooklyn Park, MN. Good luck to all participants looking to qualify for the 2014 AAU Junior Olympic Games!

AAU TRACK AND FIELD REGION 23 NATIONAL QUALIFIER
The AAU Region 23 National Qualifier Track & Field Championship will be held on June 14 - 15 at Escondido Orange Glen High School in Escondido, California. The Jackie Robinson Family YMCA will once again host this event on behalf of the Pacific Southwest District of the Amateur Athletic Union.
The meet entry deadline is Wednesday, June 11 at 11:59 PM. There are no "day of meet" registrations. Regarding Multi Event entries, in divisions where more than one athlete is registered, those entries will be contested on June 12 - 13. In the event only one athlete is registered, those athletes will be automatically passed to the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
With 165 athletes who have already filed their "Intent to Participate," we have no doubts that this will be a big meet you DO NOT want to miss! EAST COAST GIRLS' BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION COLLEGE SHOWCASE
July 26 - 27, girls in grades 9 - 12 can participate in a college showcase located in New Haven, CT. Last year, over 40 college coaches attended and every team that comes WILL be seen! The East Coast Girls' Basketball Association College Showcase is in its 5th year and is looking to have a total of 44 teams all at one site! All games will be played at the Floyd Little Fieldhouse in New Haven, CT. Each team is guaranteed 4 games, and the entry fee is $375 per team.
