GREENSBORO, N.C. – A trio of incoming UNCG volleyball players are helping lead their respective AAU squads to success at the 2013 AAU National Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, Fla., this week. Jessica Brezwyn (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South), Sydney Darden (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) and Sarah Hohman (Zionsville, Ind./Cathedral) have their squads still in the running for a national title in the 18 club division. Hohman is competing with the Asics Munciana Raptors and her team is yet to drop a match during the tournament. The Raptors are set to face Dunes 18 Black for the right to move on to the quarterfinals. If they advance, Munciana would take on 1st Alliance 18 Black today at 10 a.m. On the same side of the bracket, Brezwyn has Mizuno Sports Performance Red into the quarterfinals and her squad is squaring off against Mizuno Northern Lights during Wednesday's morning session. Sports Performance has captured seven-straight decisions dating back to pool play. Finally, Darden's Coastal VA Blue club is into the quarterfinals and awaits the winner of the match between West Bend Power 17 Purple and Wi Jrs 18 Elite. That match will take place at 10 a.m. Coastal VA Blue has won nine of 10 tilts in the tournament.
