Bob Blanford receives Salute Award in Louisville

Longtime AAU volunteer Bob Blanford was recognized by USA Volleyball at the Dorothy C. Boyce Awards Banquet in Louisville, KY on May 22.  For his years of dedication to the sport of volleyball, Bob was honored with the Pioneer Region Salute Award. As an instrumental part of the growth of AAU Volleyball, Bob is an active member of the AAU National Volleyball Executive Committee and serves as the Kentucky AAU District Registrar and Volleyball Director.  Bob was a founding father of club volleyball in the Louisville area with the creation Kentuckiana Junior Volleyball Association.   Through the years, Bob has received various awards from AAU and USA Volleyball for his contributions including the AAU Jack Schatz Award, AAU Emil Breitkreutz Leadership Award, USAV Honorable Mention Outstanding Service Award, USAV Outstanding Program Director Award and has been inducted into the AAU Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Bob for his outstanding accomplishments.
