AAU Participation Develops Players AAU Basketball Well-Represented at Hoop

The Nike Hoop Summit is an annual basketball tournament featuring the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Select Team. It consists of the top senior, male high school players from around the country. This elite group of young men will compete against a World Select Team, comprised of top players 19-years-old or younger from around the world.

 The Nike Hoop Summit has a tradition of featuring the world’s upcoming basketball talent. This year, the 2013 Hoop Summit will be played Saturday April 20th, at 4:00pm in Portland, Oregon at the Rose Garden.  

The Amateur Athletic Union is proud to announce that every player on the roster for the 2013 Nike Hoop Summit have participated in the AAU Basketball program. The coaches and volunteers in the AAU Basketball program have been helping to groom and grow players into champions for many years and plan to continue to do so for years to come.

The Hoop Summit has featured some of the NBA’s current stars and former AAU Basketball participants including:  Kevin Durant , Anthony Davis,  Monta Ellis,  Rudy Gay, Kyrie Irving, Al Jefferson,  Joe Johnson, Kevin Love, Derrick Rose, Josh Smith, John Wall and more!

The 2013 Roster is jam packed with young talent on the cusp of NCAA stardom. All but two have either signed or verbally committed to college teams. The team includes:
