Lake Buena Vista, FL-- There was a special individual at this year's AAU Cross Country Nationals. Her name is Kate Stanis. She's an 11 year old inspiration that suffered a stroke last year. Doctors didn't know if she'd survive, but she knew she would. In that hospital bed she told her dad she WOULD run in the 2012 AAU Cross Country National Championships. A year later, she did AND she took home a silver medal for the overall team award in her age division. She truly defines the 'never give up' attitude, an attitude we can all learn from. Watch her incredible story above.
