Lake Buena Vista, Fla.-- The AAU Junior Olympic Games is now accepting bids to host this illustrious event from 2017-2025.
The AAU Junior Olympic Games is the largest national multi-sport event conducted annually for youth in the United States and is the showcase event of the AAU Youth Sports Program. The inaugural Games were hosted in Washington D.C. in 1967 with two sports and 523 athletes. In 2012, over 16,300 athletes and coaches from throughout the country participated in 18 sports at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Houston, TX.
The AAU Junior Olympic Games is held over an eleven (11) day period that is action packed with outstanding competitions in all sports offered. This event brings anywhere from 13,000-17,000 athletes and coaches to your community. Parents, relatives and friends attending the AAU Junior Olympic Games range from 15,000-30,000 individuals.
